There is a high amount of deception in all of this, being gay is not an excuse. Nor is this about the simple claim of previously non receipted rent. If you have no problem in paying even more tax for politicians to rake off and use deceit to rake off more expense. Then go shake David Laws hand.

ReportI thought the new coalition was trying to put the sleaze behind it LMV - so when one of the prominent shiny new front bench MPs breaks the rules he should just be able to carry on then - fair enough.
I hope the crossbow cannibal gets to stay at college and complete his criminology PhD too then; he seemed to be doing quite well in his theory just the practicals were letting him down.

ReportHe broke the rules he should resign - as should all those MPs who broke the rules in the Expenses Scandal.
There are very few honest politicians out there it would seem.

ReportI'm fairly sure that he is entitled to claim the £40k to rent a flat in London but the recipient cannot be a family member or partner. In the end it comes to his interpretation of "Partner".
I think he should have known that this is would not look good, although in the grand scheme of things it's no duck house or clean moat. Not a resigning matter in my opinion but I voted for him and I'm not impressed.
