The chancellor has announced that education spending is to be cut by £3.5bn as the government continues to slash public sector funding.
Schools face up to 40% cuts in their budget for next year and the schools building programme is facing a freeze.
Though no Yeovil schools are affected by the freeze, some Somerset institutions including several in Bridgwater such as Penrose and Haygrove have had building plans stopped.
How do you feel about these sweeping cuts to schools across the country?
Could this money have been saved elsewhere or is stopping the schools building project an effective way of trimming education spending?
