With Chris Huhne being put through the wringer over the speeding scandal, does anyone else see an opening for David Laws in the cabinet? OK, he probably won't fancy the vacant Energy Secretary role (should Huhne be found guilty) but a mini re-shuffle could land the Yeovil MP back in the big time.

Laws is well respected by most in government (both blue and yellow) and has been working hard behind the scenes after resigning in 2010 over the expenses scandal.

Maybe our man will get a second bite at the cherry??
