Yeovil weather forecast

Yeovil woke up to a bitterly cold morning today and though we were forecast rain, for a few hours at least we had a steady smattering of snowfall.

Last winter the snow hit Yeovil hard, this the scene in Abbey Manor Park.
The icy conditions meant schools were closed and transport services were affected - keep up to date with all the latest here.

The white stuff never had the chance to settle, but it's worth having sneaky peek at the weather forecast for the week to come just in case more determined flakes are Somerset-bound. Last year, schools were closed and local services were severley affected by the cold weather.

According to the BBC weather service, from now until Thursday we can expect highs of 4 and lows of -4, with temperatures creeping slowly upwards as we move into the weekend.

Expect hard frosts and icy conditions for the remainder of the week then, but as yet no sign of the heavy snowfall still fresh in the memory from last winter, brrr!
