Local beer enthusiasts will be flocking to Yeovil this April as the town is holding its first ever beer festival.
Ticketholders will receive a free Yeovil Beer Festival glass and programme
The community event will give beer fans the chance to sample 50 real ales and ten traditional ciders at Yeovil College on April 5 and 6, 2013.
Over 1,000 people are expected to attend the first time festival, which is a joint venture between Yeovil Round Table, Lions Club of Yeovil and the staff and students of Yeovil college, to raise money for local causes.
Hot food will be served by the college's catering students, while six local bands will provide live music.
Russell Lee, of Yeovil Round Table, said: "Real ales are growing in popularity and we hope that this event will be held annually.
"Not only will it be a great day out but it is also a great opportunity to support local causes.
Steven Lowrie, Da Vinci Restaurant manager at Yeovil College said: "This gives our students a great opportunity to get involved with a fundraising event and it has the added bonus of raising money for the Yeovil College Bursary Foundation (YCBF)."
The YCBF was set up to support hard working students who, for a variety of reasons, find it difficult to stay at the College and complete their studies without financial support.
YCBF sponsorship opportunities will be available at the festival.
Tickets for Yeovil Beer Festival will be £5 per day and include a free YBF glass and programme.
