Yeovil families wanting to eat well yet save £50 a month in food waste can join a free class coming up very soon.
-
Waste not, want not: this free class could save you £50 a month
It is one of three upcoming free half-day classes in Somerset to equip people with the skills to save more and waste less in the kitchen.
Those taking part in the class can even help others in their community by chatting over the ideas with friends and neighbours.
From easy planning and simple storage to smarter shopping and tasty recipes from leftovers, the class covers it all.
Backed by Somerset Waste Partnership's Green Routine waste prevention campaign, it is organised with the national Love Food Hate Waste initiative, whose surveys show average families with children wasting £600+ of food a year.
