Locals are being encouraged to get down and dirty in our countryside environment next week - at a shelter and den building day organised by the district council.

Fancy doing something a bit different with the kids? Head down to Yeovil Country Park and create your own woodland shelter.
Families have the chance to go all Ray Mears at Yeovil Country Park - making use of natural materials found in the woodland to create dens and shelters with help of Park Rangers.
The den building day - which will take place on Tuesday 26 July from 10am until 12 noon - is just one of a series of countryside events organised by the district council's Countryside Rangers rangers this summer, and is a fantastic chance to keep kids happy, entertained and active in an interesting way.
"In past years these days have been so popular with children, who absolutely love getting hands on and building their own den." says Cllr Sylvia Seal.
"The events form part of our work to improve access and understanding of our countryside sites and to open up opportunities for people to get active."
Booking is essential and can be made by contacting Yeovil TIC on 01935 845946. The cost of the day is just £2.50 per child and the event is free for accompanying adults.
