Ready Steady Cook star to open Love and Wonder restaurant in Yeovil

Celebrity chef Lesley Waters, known for her role on Ready Steady Cook, is opening a new restaurant in Yeovil.

Lesley Waters Kitchen will form part of the Love and Wonder shop which now occupies part of the former Wine Vaults pub.

Dishes at the new restaurant range from Double Baked Macaroni Cheese to Mezzes and All Day Breakfasts.

It will be a café during the day and a restaurant and cocktail bar during the evening.

Its opening night on Saturday is already fully booked and punters arriving from 6pm can expect a mix of sharing platters and optional extras on the menu.

Love and Wonder, which sells clothes, accessories and homeware, recently moved into the grade two-listed building from its former premises in the Quedam.

Lesley, who lives near Halstock, is well known for appearing on TV's Ready Steady Cook. She said: "My food has always been about surprising people, about sharing and about simple but big flavours.

"I am delighted to be working with Love and Wonder to bring my dishes in the form of little feasts to the public.

"Lesley Waters Kitchen is a warm and friendly place where people can share my food, kick backand relax and enjoy the eclectic atmosphere of the restaurant."

Love and Wonder owner Leila Gregory said: "We are really excited to be working with Lesley and looking forward to the opening. I'm delighted to bring this special project to Yeovil town centre.
