Police are investigating an arson after a car was set on fire in Yeovil in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Firefighters were called to Stiby Road just after 1.40am where a blue Renault Megane was alight.

Crews used two breathing apparatus sets and two hose-reel jets to extinguish the fire.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire Service said the fire was believed to have been started deliberately.

Police are investigating the incident and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
