Yeovil police officers injured in the line of duty

Last night two Yeovil police officers were injured in the line of duty.

At around 6pm yesterday evening the two officers attended an incident on Highfield Road, Yeovil, following reports of a man in a car who was refusing to leave an address.

One officer received an injury to their eye and the other had burns on his arms. Both received hospital treatment.

A 53 year old man has been arrested in connection with the crime and remains in police custody.
