A delighted Tanya Grant.
Magna Careline is a telecare monitoring service used by thousands of people, and many councils, across the UK.
As well as helping people to retain their independence in their own homes, Magna Careline also handles calls for commercial customers to provide out of hours and business continuity services 24 hours a day, together with protection for lone workers.
Tanya's election was unopposed and she takes up the post with immediate effect. "This election is a privilege for me and I am honoured to have been selected in this way," says Tanya.
"After a phenomenal period with Magna Careline, gaining vital new contracts for the business and hosting a visit from HRH The Prince of Wales during the summer of 2011, this is a rewarding end to the year."
The election is for a three-year post and Tanya sees this as a real opportunity to raise the profile of Magna Careline Limited, who perform a vital alarm monitoring emergency service to many clients across the UK.
Gaining greater awareness within local communities about their continual efforts to ensure every call is handled with understanding, tact and immediacy will be a target for Tanya.
Tanya has been with the Magna group since 1995 and has been involved with Magna Careline for the last 5 years, taking on the role of general manager in 2010.
