Man hospitalised after four vehicle crash in Yeovil

A man was taken to hospital yesterday morning after he was involved in a four-vehicle crash near Yeovil.

The road traffic collision happened on the A37 Roman Road, near Chilthorne Domer, at around 7.55am.
Two ambulance crews and police attended the scene and a man was taken to Yeovil District Hospital with back pains. His injuries are not thought to be serious.
A spokesman said: "Fire crews confirmed a road traffic collision involving four vehicles. All persons were free and clear of the vehicles upon the arrival of the fire Service.
"One casualty was conveyed to hospital by ambulance, a second casualty was tended to by ambulance crews on scene.
"Fire crews made the vehicles safe and mopped up petrol leaked onto the roadway. The incident was left in the hands of police and ambulance."
