Generous Yeovil businesswoman donates profits to Flying Colours

A Yeovil woman has selflessly decided to donate profits from her baby class business to the Flying Colours Appeal for Yeovil Women's Hospital.

Clare Morgan, Class Leader at the Yeovil franchise of Baby Sensory classes, decided to donate a week's worth of profits to the Flying Colours Appeal.

The Flying Colours group have been working tirelessly to raise £500,000 for a new Special Care Baby Unit at Yeovil Women's Hospital.

Clare said: "Baby Sensory sessions link to the philosophy of supporting parents and babies and encouraging baby development. 

"We recognise the importance of both anti-natal and post-natal care provided by the hospital. 

"All the parents we meet would have benefited from these services and we would therefore like to give something back by running fund raising sessions".

Sarah Cherry, Community Fundraiser for the Flying Colours appeal said: "We are very grateful to Clare, supporting the appeal by donating her profits from her fundraising classes.

"Without the support from people like Clare and businesses within the local community, we would not be able to raise the £500,000 needed to build a much bigger and better Special Care Baby Unit".

Clare's franchise provides an abundance of activities designed to stimulate babies' senses helping with their development, ranging from coloful light shows, flashing balls bubbles and bells and themed sessions.

This month they have been holding Baby Pumpkin classes which involve pumpkin themed activities for the babies including an autumn harvest, pumpkin bounce and a bonfire party.

The fundraising classes are taking place on Tuesday 23 October at Birchfield Community Centre 10.15am-11.15 am and 11.45 am – 12.45pm, on Wednesday 24 October at St Bartholomews Church Hall in Crewkerne from 10.15 am- 11.15 am, Thursday 25 October at Curry Rivel Village Hall from 1030 am – 1130 am.
