Fun, Fun, Fun for the family

Families from across South Somerset & Sedgemoor came together on Saturday for a fantastic day of free fun and entertainment.

Over 330 Yarlington residents attended the family fun day held at the head office of Yarlington Housing Group in Yeovil. Children enjoyed a packed programme of activities including zorbing, bungee trampoline,   African drumming workshops and other attractions.

The day was organised by Yarlington's resident involvement team who have been tasked with engaging with the local community and residents. The team organised a 'Big Brother' style pod cast for residents to air their views on their community and the family fun day.

Resident Involvement Manager Ben Azariah, for Yarlington Housing Group, said "It was a brilliant day, the turn-out was amazing and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. We were able to get some very useful feedback from residents from our podcast, and will be considering all comments as we go forward."

One resident commented on the podcast 'Today has been fantastic. In my situation I am unable to take my girls on holiday or for many fun day outs. The girls are keeping a scrap book of their holidays for school and they can show their friends all the fun they have had today.'
