Christmas revised collections reminder
And recycling sites will, as every year, be closing for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day in addition to their usual schedule.
Kerbside collections are unchanged on Monday 23 Dec and Christmas Eve. Collections do not take place on Christmas Day or Boxing Day, and will be two days later for the rest of the week, including Thursday's pick-ups on Saturday 28 and Friday's on Sunday 29 December.
Pick-ups are unchanged on Monday 30 December and New Year's Eve, they do not take place on New Year's Day, and will be one day later for the rest of that week, including Friday collections on Saturday 4 January.
Clinical waste collections follow the same pattern, while garden waste pick-ups are suspended from Wednesday 25 December, resuming on Wednesday 8 January 2014.
Decoration-free natural Christmas trees under 6ft can be recycled. If you pay for garden waste collections, put them out on your usual garden waste collection day for composting. Or take decoration-free natural trees to any recycling site for composting. For landfill disposal, put out your tree next to your refuse on your usual collection day 6-17 January 2014.
And to avoid waste piling up, such as cardboard from gift packaging or bottles and cans from festive entertaining, all kerbside materials can be take to recycling sites, if open, though food waste can only be accepted for disposal.
