‘22 Journeys’ is on at the Café Gallery at the Octagon Theatre, Yeovil, from Tuesday 7 February 2012 to Wednesday 22 February 2012. Admission is free.
The 22 students spent 5 days in the city, exploring Spain's rich culture, examining traditional architecture and visiting galleries.
Student Amy Sturgess of Chetnole said: "Barcelona was a great opportunity for us to delve into a different culture.
We were inspired by the exhibitions and public work we viewed and really enjoyed the variety of architectural styles, from gothic to Gaudi and the hustle and bustle of Las Ramblas, with the street performers, cafes and markets. This experience provided us with the foundation for our projects for the exhibition."
Back in Britain, the students used their experiences to create diverse range of work for the exhibition, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, illustration and textile work.
Course lecturer Claire Mason added: "The exhibition is called '22 Journeys' as it represents the different experiences and perspectives of each of the students on their own particular journey, inspired by Barcelona, but brought to its conclusion here in Yeovil.
"The students work within a number of different disciplines, from fashion to illustration, and there are many varied techniques on display, including card construction, photography and painting.
"The students have produced some excellent work and we're delighted to have this opportunity to share it with the community."
